BENNETT, Virginia G., 93, of Valrico, departed this life on September 7, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Logan and Annie M. Faulkner. She is survived by her son, Steve Bennett, and wife, Evelyn, of Blairsville, Ga.; one brother, Howell C. Faulkner of Riverview, Fla.; three grand-children, Steve J. Bennett and wife, Sandi, of Durant, Chris A. Bennett and wife, Cindy, of Brandon and Norma C. Summerall of Ruskin, Fla.; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bennett graduated from Turkey Creek School in 1932 and began teaching at Dover School in 1933, taught at Turkey Creek from 1939 until moving to Plant City High School, from where she retired. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2008, at Hopewell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Billy Wynn and the Rev. Waylon Carlisle officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
