Virginia Fields Davis, 80, joined her Heavenly Father on June 28, 2014. Robert "Bus" Davis, 86, joined his Heavenly Father on June 30, 2014. They were both of Cox's Creek and members of Riverview Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of General Electric, and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. They were preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Davis Jr.; son David Davis; grandson, Christopher Wilson. She was preceded in death by and a brother, Willie Fields. He was preceded in death by siblings, Margaret Minter, Eleanor Goodman, Vivian Wilson, Ruby Bryant, Alice Davis, James and Paul Davis.Survivors include their children, Myra Proctor, Michael Davis, Nancy Davis, and Karen Bradshaw; her brothers, Wilford and Charles Fields; his sister, Betty Ready; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be given to the Alzheimer Foundation.
