She was born August 15, 1921 in Schenectady, NY a daughter of Clark S. and Elizabeth Barbour White. She married Robert George Smith on November 27, 1942. He preceded her in death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by one sister. Surviving are four children, David (Becky) Smith of Louisville, KY, Nancy Smith O'Connor of Clemmons, NC, Jeffrey (Gloria) Smith of Rochester, NY, and Deborah (Paul) Preston of Clemmons, NC; several beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Lou Pille of Rochester, NY.Frank Volger and Sons Funeral Home in Clemmons, NC are assisting the family with arrangements.
