JOHNSON Virginia E. Johnson, R.N., 53, a devoted wife, mother, & daughter, passed away March 17, 2004 after a long battle with breast cancer, surrounded by her family at home. She was born December 20, 1950 in Wyandotte, Michigan, & has made Jacksonville her home since 1959. She serviced as a nurse for 20 years, the last 6 years as a Director of Patient Care Service, for Maxim Healthcare. Virginia requested special thanks be given to her devoted coworkers at Maxim Healthcare & the Maxim family nationwide. She was preceded in death by her father, John E. Helscher; & son, Adam S. Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Lester; son, Michael; mother, Evelyn Helscher; & many other family members & close friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20th, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue, with Pastor Mark Tyre officiating. Interment will follow in Switzerland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday (TODAY) at the funeral home .
