Virginia Hedden Davis, 89, of the Presbyterian Community of Easley, passed away January 4, 2009. She was born in Jackson County, N.C., the daughter of the late Jim Hedden and Irene Whitaker Hedden.Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Pickens, and the Philethia Sunday School class.She was preceded by her husband, Harold William Davis, and two sons, Harold William Davis, Jr. "Bill" and Larry Hedden Davis. She is survived by sister, Sarah Avery of Durham, N.C.; former daughters-in-law, Phyllis Trotter of Pickens and Donna Sherrill of Oveido, Fla.; grandsons, Dr. Jesse Davis of Warner Robins, Ga., J.J. Davis of Orlando, Fla., and Richmond Davis of Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughter, Michel Ann Trotter of Washington, D.C.; and 4 great-grandsons.Funeral service: 3 p.m. Tuesday January 6, 2009, at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel.
