Virginia ChandlerBriggs CarpenterOzark, MO OZARK, MO -- Virginia Chandler Briggs Carpenter. Born on April 5, 1913, wife of the late Nelson Carpenter, who she was eager to go home to be with. Daughter of the late Harris Melvin and Nellie Haskell Briggs, went to her Savior on January 4, 2013, in her 100th year.Ginny was a member of a well known Tewksbury family.Surviving her are her children, Robert Briggs Sr. and his wife, Linda of NC, Nelson Carpenter and his wife, Collette of NE, and Nancy Merry and her husband, Denny of MO, who have lovingly cared for her for so many years.Grandchildren, Laura Briggs, Bob Briggs Jr, Julie Cogdill, Jennifer Briggs, Leigha Debell, Melissa Petersen, Megan Severson and Courtney Carpenter; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.Ginny was also predeceased by her siblings, Harris, Dorothy, Josephine and Robert P Briggs.A memorial service will be held on January 11, 2013 in Missouri.
