SMITH, VIRGINIA C.Virginia C. Smith, a resident of New Rochelle since 1939, died on December 17, 2004. She was 94. Mrs. Smith was born on September 8, 1910 in New York City to the late James and Mary (Mackey) Cheevers. After graduating from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, she taught at Blessed Sacrament School in the Bronx and at several public schools in New York City. She married George W. Smith on Thanksgiving 1935. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the Don Bosco Guild, the New York Athletic Club, and the Ladies of Charity. Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, Kevin of GA, Denis of FL, Brian of FL, Barry of New Rochelle, Stephen of GA, and Moira V. Tully of New Rochelle; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visiting Saturday 7-9pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle. Mass Monday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church.
