July 11, 2006 Virginia C. Morris, of Cape Vincent and Port Richey, FL, formerly of Jamesville, died in Watertown Tuesday. Born May 15, 1920, in Syracuse, a daughter of Howard and Lois Norton Craner. She graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1938 and Syracuse City Normal School in 1941. She also attained a degree in elementary education from Syracuse University. She was a teacher at Jamesville Elementary School and Charles Andrews School in Syracuse for a total of 27 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of Pebble Hill Presbyterian Church, DeWitt, and a former member of the Jamesville Community Church. Virginia married Earl F. Morris on November 14, 1944, at the Jamesville Presbyterian Church. Survivors besides her husband are a son and his wife, Leslie D. and Margaret Rose Morris of Longmont, CO; a daughter and her husband, Pauline Irene and Dr. James M. Hanak of West Chester, PA; four grandchildren, Robert W. Morris of Raton, NM, Virginia Rose Morris of Longmont, CO, Jennifer Lynn Hanak of Wayne, PA, and Hillary Belle Hanak of Toluca Lake, CA; two brothers and their wives, Howard and Lucille Craner of Camillus and Richard and Charlotte Craner of The Villages, FL; two sisters, Jane Westbrook of Santee, CA, and Linda and Joseph Scott of Chittenango; a sister-in-law, Mary Craner of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul N. Craner and his wife Dianne, and William B. Craner. Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home. Burial, Walnut Grove Cemetery, Jamesville. A calling hour will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.
