-->Virginia B. "Jenny" Smith SPARTANBURG, SC-- Virginia B. "Jenny" Smith, 79, of Dover Road, died Saturday, December 8, 2007, at RoseCrest Retirement Center. Born September 10, 1928, in Yancey County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Maude Huskins Buchanan. She was retired from Glenco Hosiery and was a member of Abner Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Perry H. Smith, survivors include a daughter, Regina Garriga and her husband Frank of Hickory, NC; three granddaughters, Nicole Esch and her husband Darrell of Charlotte, NC, Courtney Garriga of New York, NY, and Nila Garriga and her husband Nicholas Worm of Morrisville, NC; two great-grandsons, Scout Elijah Esch and Wyatt Hudson Esch; two sisters, Irene Williams and her husband J. C. of Spruce Pine, NC, and Edith Smith of Marion, NC; and five brothers, Eugene Buchanan of Hickory, NC, Roy Buchanan of Bakersville, NC, Worley Buchanan of Burnsville, NC, Larry Buchanan of Clinton, CT, and Phillip Buchanan of Burnsville, NC. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2007, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at Abner Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Richard A. Clark. Burial will be in Will Young Cemetery in Yancey County, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abner Baptist Church, PO Box 170151, Spartanburg, SC 29301. The family is at the home. Floyd's North Church Street Chapel
