<!-- FH = Fletcher Funeral Service -->Virgil Howard ClarkMauldinVirgil Howard Clark, 75, of Mauldin, SC completed his journey on this earth and entered into the Lord's presence on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.For the past 3 months he was lovingly cared for at NHC in Mauldin. In retail for most of his working life, he retired from Genesco, Nashville, TN. Moving from California to Mauldin in 2004, he worked at the Mauldin Sports Center until 2009. The son of Leon and Maudie Clark, he was born in Omar, WV on April 22, 1937. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Clark, daughter Kathy Renee Linberg and her husband Daniel of Mauldin, granddaughter, Megan and her husband Alexander LaCasse of Greer, SC, a grandson C. J. Linberg of Mauldin, a great-granddaughter, brother Oscar (Bud) Clark of Connellsville, PA and sister Flossie Gossett and her husband Donald of Huntington, WV.He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Ethel Holt and LaVern Clark.He is a member of Five Forks Baptist Church where he attended the Joy Filled Sunday School Class. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, Dec.16th at Five Forks Baptist Church in Simpsonville, SC. with Dr. Howard Foster officiating. A time of fellowship with the family will follow in the church conference room. He had donated his remains to science thru the BioGift Anatomical, Inc., Portland, OR. Memorials may be made to Five Forks Baptist Church Bus Fund, 112 Batesville Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
