Violet W. Johnson, 90, Venice, died March 7, 2004. She was born Sept. 15, 1913, in Bridgeton, N.J., and came to Venice from there 32 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Venice-Nokomis United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Hill of Venice; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 315 U.S. 41 S., Venice. Inurnment will be in Venice Memorial Gardens. Lemon Bay Funeral Home is in charge.
