DAVIS, VIOLET T., 90Ocala - Violet T. Davis, age 90, of Ocala, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2009 at New Horizon Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Newark, N.J. and moved to Ocala in 1981 from Southbury, CT., where she was the Elected Tax Collector for over ten years. In Ocala, she Co-founded and became an active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ by holding the first worship services in her own home. She also was an active member and Secretary of the Ocala Ostomy Support Group. She is survived by her sister, Helen T. Sanzeni and her (2) nieces, Patti and husband Peter Acri and Sandi and husband Michael Novella, all of Ocala, FL. Memorial Services will be at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 7171 S.W. State Road 200, Ocala, FL. 34476, on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 3:00P.M. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the First Congregational, U. C. C. in memory of Violet T. Davis. Arrangements are by Roberts Funeral Homes, Bruce Chapel West, 6241 S.W.
