YERS, VIOLET - At her residence on Sunday, March, 27th, 2005, in her 104th year; Violet (Morrison) Byers, of the Loch Lomond Villa, wife of the late Alton Byers. Born in Newcastle, England she is the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Jane (Jose) Morrison and the granddaughter of Lady Elizabeth MacDonald and Dr. William Morrison. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Violet was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rothesay. She is survived by five of her six children: Lily Gilliland of Rothesay, Ransford (pre-deceased) Adelaide Drew (Donald) of Browns Flat, Chrissie Pike of Rothesay, Charles (Mary) of Belleisle Creek, and Skeena Forret of Quispamsis; 26 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Violet's family would like to take this opportunity to thank the nurses and caregivers of the Loch Lomond Villa, who treated her with such tender care and dignity through her last days. Resting at Castle "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Hampton Road, Rothesay, NB (506-849-1702) from where the service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, March 29th, 2005 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a time of visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Donations to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
