Viola M. Roth, 102, died Jan. 23. Born in New York City, she resided in Palm Beach and Southampton, N. Y. for many years and moved to Tequesta in the early 1970s. She and her husband owned a men's clothing store, now Maus and Hoffman, in Palm Beach. She was an avid supporter of team tennis at the former river Edge Club. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Russell and her husband Lynn, two grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and her sister Doris Carter of West Palm Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in 1980 and a daughter, Valerie Denning in 1953. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Homes, 250 Center Street, Jupiter.
