Mrs. Viola (Miss Granny) Hall Carter - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Viola (Miss Granny) Hall Carter, 94, made her transition from this earth on June 11, 2008 at Hospice Savannah. She was a native of Bulloch County before moving to Savannah, GA, in 1951. She was a member of First Symrna Baptist Church where she was mother. She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Joseph (Julia) Carter; five grandchildren, Pastor Alfred Marshall, Evangeline (Xavier) Booker, Valerie (Elder Joe) Johnson, Jr., Joseph (Rycal) Carter, Deborah (Desi) Davis, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Mary Carter, West Palm Beach, FL, Jonsey Carter, Laurinburg, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2008 at the Tremont Temple Baptist Church, with Rev. John E. Jennings officiating. Internment: Woodville Cemetery.
