WILTON -- Victoria &quot;Ella&quot; Tuttle Quinn, 95, died Oct. 7, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family and friends after a brief illness. She was born May 8, 1914, daughter of the late Henry V. Tuttle and Nettie May Tuttle, and was a lifelong resident of Wilton. She was the youngest of 13 brothers and sisters. She attended a one-room schoolhouse in Wilton and graduated from Wilton High School in 1933. In 1941 she married George W. Quinn in Townsend, Mass., and she and her husband spent 45 years together until his death in 1986. She was a homemaker and devoted her time to raising her two daughters. She loved to cook and share her goodies with family and friends. She was very talented at sewing, knitting and crocheting. She made numerous afghans and enjoyed giving them as gifts to her family. She enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens. She was active in 4H and was a group leader for 10 years. She loved to bird watch and visit covered bridges. The family includes a daughter, Martha Alice Heater of Jaffrey; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one daughter, Nancy Arlene Quinn Foulkes, who died in 2002. SERVICES: Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of the Nelson-Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple St., Wilton. A celebration of Ella's life will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Nelson-Michaud Funeral Home. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Wilton.
