Mamma went home Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, after three years of declining health. She entered into Heaven, and into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. She was reunited with her husband of 68 years, John D. Huff, who died June 12, 2006. He was the love of her life.Mamma also was reunited with her parents, Esther Snipes Jordan and William Claude Jordan; her son, John Ronald Huff; a daughter, June Huff Wilson; a brother, William E. "Bud" Jordan; a sister, Jerrie Jordan; and two granddaughters, Andrea Huff and Nicole Huff.Mrs. Huff was a member of Augusta Road United Methodist Church for many years, and taught Sunday school, was a member of the choir, and participated in many other activities. She also attended Grove Road Assembly Of God for about 20 years, where she served as secretary/treasurer, Bible teacher, Sunday schoolteacher, and a counselor to many troubled people. She was an ordained minister in Independent Trucking Ministries Church, 2002 donor of the year, and helped the Hospitalized Veterans Organization.She was an avid reader and loved to crochet. She was formerly associated with Belks for more than 25 years. She was a wise and wonderful woman, who was loved, and she will be missed by all who knew her.She is survived by her children, Claude (Bud) and wife, Micky, of Ware Shoals, William D. (Billy) and wife, Brenda, and Hope H. Crider, all of Piedmont, Jerrie H. McCue and husband, Ken of Williamston, son-in-law, Gene Wilson of Simpsonville. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition, she is survived by many of her husband's family, whom she adored and considered her own. Pallbearers will be James Martin, Woody Bayne, Bob Bayne, Gene Wilson, Bill McCue, and Alton Martin.Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at 1 p.m., at Augusta Road United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Augusta Road United Methodist Church, 8324 Augusta Road, Pelzer, SC 29669; or to Southern Care, 1097 State 101 South, Suite D-11, Greer, SC 29651.The family is at the home, 110 Old Grove Road, Piedmont.The Macky Mortuary.
