?Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Crestwood Chapel for Vesta Mae Smith, 94, Glencoe, who died Thursday, March 4, 2010. The Revs. Jerry Keeling and Les Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct. Mrs. Smith was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for 70 years. She loved to cook and enjoyed being a homemaker. She will be greatly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burney Smith. She is survived by her son, Harold "Smokey" Smith, Glencoe; grandsons, Scott (Linda) Smith, Hot Springs, Ark., and Blake (Penny) Smith, Southside; great-grandchildren, Sarah Smith and Kate Smith, Hot Springs, Ark.; daughter-in-law and special friend, Brenda Smith, Glencoe; sister, Faye Mathis, Rome, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Scott Smith, Blake Smith, Rennick Adams, Marcus Thrift, Wayne Culver and Doug Belyeu. Special thanks to Dr. Steven Sanders.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. tonight.
