AUBURNDALE -- Mrs. Verna R. Walk of Auburndale died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Tuesday (Sept. 27, 2005) at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. She was 82.Born in Woodman, Ky., on Nov. 25, 1922, Mrs. Walk came to Auburndale from Brazil, Ind., in 1986. She was a factory worker. She was of the Jehovah's Witness faith.Mrs. Walk was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Walk. She is survived by her son, Jerry Collins, Auburndale; daughters, Linda Smith, Auburndale, Gail Collins, Cookville, Tenn.; three brothers; three sisters; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.Memorial services will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
