Verna Jean Moore N. Utica Mrs. Verna Jean (Hall) Moore, age 80, of North Utica, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at the Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center with her family by her side. Born in Ontario, Canada, on April 10, 1928, Verna was the daughter of the late William and Edith (Blackmere) Hall. She was raised and educated in Canada. At one time, she was married to Garnet Moore. As a loving homemaker, her family was the heart of her existence. Verna is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn J. and James Swald of Auburn, NY, and Beth and Timothy M. Dundon of N. Utica; her sons, Robert W. Moore and Diana K. Stevenson of Verona and Glenn R. Moore of FL; her grandchildren, Heather Lynn and Kevin Mathews of VA, Andrew James and Ashley Swald of CO, James A. Dundon of FL, Erin E. Dundon and her fiancé, Mark Anguilli, and Renee C. Dundon, all of Utica, Christopher A. Moore of NYC, Brian S. Moore, Esq., of Washington, DC, Kevin R. Moore of NJ, and their mother, Karen Grimaldi of Whitesboro; Candice Moore and Shawn Moore, both of FL, and Coleen Moore of Syracuse, and their mother, Michelle Moore of FL; and her 5 beloved great-grandchildren. Survivors also include her sister, Irma Harper of Ontario, Canada; her brothers and sister-in-law, Donald Hall, and Allan and Sharon Hall, all of Canada; her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and brother-in-law, Keith McKenzie of Canada. She was predeceased by her sisters, Lois Hall and Molly McKenzie. In keeping with Verna's wishes, services were held privately and at the convenience of the family.
