MARSHALL, Verna Jean (nee Burdett) January 28, 1924 - October 5, 2015 Our mother, Verna, passed away in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband, Eric, and her parents, John and Helena (Cook) Burdett. Verna is the last of six Burdett siblings; sisters, Doreen, Molly, Cora and Audrey and brother, Les. She is survived by her children, Linda Handlen (Alex), Marlene and Ross Hargreaves and son, John and Cathie Marshall; grandchildren, Kevin, Chris & Kim, Teresa and Richard, Tod, Rob and Erynn and many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She loved you all. Mom loved cooking, her cats and dogs and took pleasure in simple things. She would always put the kettle on for tea for family and friends who would drop in for a visit. The family would like to express a special thanks and appreciation to all at the Priory Hiscock who cared for mom for 9 years. Private Cremation. Today, tomorrow our whole life through. We will always love and remember you. A remembrance tea will be held at the Victoria Horseshoe Club, 620 Kenneth St., Sunday, October 25th from 1-4 pm.
