Verna Elsie Grasse 1918-2012 With her two boys at her side, Verna Grasse passed away peacefully on November 25th, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born November 24th, 1918 in Shirley Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Sadie (Lindsay) Wood, wife of the late Charles Grasse and prior to him, the late Steadman Brewer. Verna is survived by her sons, Keith Brewer (Yvonne) and Ronald Brewer (Curty) both of Oromocto, NB; grandchildren, Tony Brewer (Cari), Heidi Muise (Laurie), Scott Brewer (Lindsay) and Shannon Allaby (Curtis); great-grandchildren, Spencer and Avery, Olivia, Adrianna and Carly, Lauren and Jack and Jake and Ally; siblings, Ivan Wood (Bev), Pat Howatt (Windsor), Bonnie Heath (Ken) as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her husbands, Charles and Steadman; brothers, Douglas, Jackie, Joseph, Kenneth and Cecil and her sisters, Elaine, Audrey, Alma, Helen and Glenna. The family wish to thank "Your At Home Retreat" in Burton for the excellent care Verna received with a special thanks to Rhonda and John. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 27th, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Oromocto United Church on Wednesday, November 28th, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob McDowell officiating. Interment will be in the Burton Cemetery.
