WILLIAMS, Vera With great sadness the family announces the passing of Vera Williams on July 7, 2009 with family at her side. Vera was a much loved wife, mother, nana, and great-grandma. She was passionate about teaching copper enameling and silversmithing. Having taught for over 40 years with the City of Edmonton, Central Lions and Northgate Lions she retired in June of 2008. Vera was an active member of the Edmonton Photo Club. A love for traveling had Vera on trips to Australia, Europe, Costa Rica, And China. She enjoyed many family get togethers and always arrived with gift in hand. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Tony, children Dale (Gaye), Maureen (Jack), Grant (Debbie), Roger (Kathleen), nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and a brother George Diehl of Whitehorse, Yukon. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2009 at Avonmore United Church, 7909 - 82 Avenue, Edmonton. After the service lunch will be served. Interment will be after lunch at South Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Paraplegic Association.
