VERA-LYNN ANDERSON- It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, sister and dear friend, Vera-Lynn Anderson on Sunday, January 20, 2008, following a brief battle with acute leukemia. Vera will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband, Ron, two daughters, Kristin (Carl), Loriel (Michael), and sisters, Glenda, Roberta. Vera had no acquaintances all were friends. Left with wonderful memories and much love for Vera are her sisters-in-law, Maxine (Bill) and children, Shannon (Rick), Shaela; June (Bill) and children, Stephanie, Colette (Alrid); brother-in-law Rick (Rish) and children Evan (Pam), Colleen (Mike); Glenda's children Niki, Jory; Roberta's children Steven, Katherine; many greatnieces and nephews and countless friends. Vera was pre-deceased by her parents Felice and Steven Joyce and her brother, Earl. Courageously contending with many serious health issues, Vera overcame, through strength of faith from her Lord, to give of herself to others, encouraging so many facing similar obstacles. She lived every day with humour, grace and love. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the medical staff at Pasqua, St. Paul's and Regina General hospitals. A service will be held on Monday, January 28 at 1 p.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, 3717 Hill Ave., Regina, followed by interment at Silton Cemetery, and reception at Silton Community Centre. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Arrangements to be handled by Hansen's Funeral Home, Strasbourg.
