Funeral for Vera Inez Steadman Johnson, 93, of Moulton will be today, Dec. 15, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Law-rence Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Hood and Clyde Goodlett officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Mrs. Johnson, who died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at her residence, was born Jan. 12, 1912, in Lawrence County to James William Steadman and Lockie Jeffreys Steadman. She was a seamstress. She was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Moulton OES Chapter No. 412. Her husband, Lonnie Johnson, preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Dale Johnson of Town Creek; two daughters, Doris Jones of Moulton and Wanda Lee Whitley of Smyrna, Tenn.; three brothers, Paul Steadman and J.D. Steadman, both of Moulton, and Eulice Steadman of Esteill Springs, Tenn.; one sister, Lois Owens of Moulton; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Deral Posey, Jarrod Jody Jones, Sedrick Johnson, Keith Terry, Steve Steadman and Gary Steadman.
