Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for Ms. Vera Evelyn Lee, 83, Gadsden, who passed away Friday, March 21, 2008. Bro. Jim Browning and Bro. Rodney Kennedy will officiate, with burial in the Ramsey Family Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.Ms. Lee was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She retired from General Times after many years of service. Ms. Lee loved flowers and gardening. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Hilton; and sons, Tim and Ronald Lee.She is survived by her children, Ricky (Janice) Lee, Charlie (Julie) Lee and Kathy (Jerry) Lowe; grandchildren, Lane Goodwin, Stacy Pruett, Wade, Aaron, Jared, Nathan and Eric Lee, Cindi Robershaw, Angie Hufsteller, Jennifer Hicks and Courtney Bailey; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Harbin and Tressie Clark; and special friend, Martha Manord.Pallbearers will be Aaron Lee, Wade Goodwin, Nathan Lee, Ralph Cantrell, Jared Lee and Jeff Burns.Honorary pallbearers will be nurses and staff at Gadsden Health and Rehab and Southern Care Hospice.The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of service at the church today.
