BARNWELL, Vera Eleanor BARNWELL, Vera Eleanor - 93, Prince Street, Pictou, passed away March 24, 2008, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late E. Malcolm and Annie (MacKenzie) MacDonald. Vera lived all her adult life in Pictou, and was happily involved in her community, enjoying small town life. She was also a member of Pictou United Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Thomas, Prospect Bay; grandson, Christopher, Timberlea; granddaughter, Heather, Halifax; great-granddaughter, Claire. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter, and two brothers in infancy. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Haliburton Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Pictou West Victorian Order of Nurses, Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.
