ANDERSON _ Vera Geraldine (Gerry) (nee Johnson) On Thursday, March 8, 2007, tenderly held in the loving arms of her family, Mom followed her angels home. She was born (March 21, 1927) and raised on the family farm near Nokomis, SK. Mom will be eternally cherished by her beloved girls, Carolle, Jacquie, and Lisa (Dean Jacobs) as well as her loving grandsons, Adam and Bennett. Also mourning her passing are Mom's two sisters, Maxine Rath (Calgary) and Audrey Trainor (Vernon), as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her brother Harold Johnson, brother-in-law Wallace Rath, and husband Bill Anderson. Mom derived enormous pleasure from music and she loved to sing and dance, treasured special moments with friends, and celebrations of all kinds. When Mom joined the Silver Stars Revue, she was able to combine all three passions, but more importantly, the great friends that Mom made in the group brought such joy to her life. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the many people who lovingly cared for Mom over the past few months, specifically Dr. Jay Esaw and staff from Unit 47 at the Tom Baker Centre and as well as the many caregivers at the Agape Hospice. We invite those who knew and loved her to join us March 30 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1910 Kensington Road N.W. to celebrate this most extraordinary woman.
