WILLIAMS, Veachel Lee Age 94, passed away January 11, 2012. Preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Birtie Williams; 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Roxie Virginia Williams; daughter, Linda (Pete) Bryant; brothers, Delbert (Georgia) Williams and Robert (Linda) Williams; granddaughters, Joni (Mike) Tressler and Laura McFadden, and 4 great-granddaughters. Mr. Williams proudly served during WWII in Americal Division of the US Army. He worked for Commonwealth Life Insurance of Kentucky, and had been a member, Deacon and song leader of Madison General Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was a volunteer for Christian Cooperative Ministries and enjoyed spending time in his garden. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 16, 2012 at 1 p.m., at Spring Hill Funeral Home, with Bro. Larry Martindale officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, 2-6 p.m., at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
