Services for Valerie June Williams, 79, DeLand, who died February 19, 2009 at Florida Hospital DeLand, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E. New York Ave., DeLand, FL, with the Rev. Michael Fronk officiating. Burial will be at DeLand Memorial Gardens. Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 20) at Lankford Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams was born in Detroit, MI and moved to this area in 1978 from Detroit. She worked in the Food Service Division of Florida Hospital DeLand 1978-1992. She also worked at Publix on South Woodland Blvd. in DeLand. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Second Harvest Food Bank. Survivors include one son, Ron Williams of DeLand, FL; one daughter, Donna Williams of DeLand, FL; one brother, Gale Bransfield of South Lyon, MI; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
