Virginia M. Johnson LENOIR, NC-- Mrs. Virginia Moore Johnson, 87, of Lenoir, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Mary Black Hospital in Spartanburg, S.C. She was the widow of James Charles Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Lenoir and a daughter of the late Claude and Zenna DeBoard Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church in Whitnel, N.C. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Chuck and Sharon Johnson of Boiling Springs, S.C.; a daughter and son-in-law: Elaine and Joe Wood of Chesnee, S.C.; four grandchildren, three great- grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Memorials may be made to Foothills of the Carolinas, P. O. Box 127, Landrum, SC 29356. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
