HENDERSON - Una Claire passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008. Una is survived by her sons, Gilbert (Wilma) and Paul (Patti); grandchildren, Pat Henderson (Gord Arntsen), Phil Henderson, Heather (Paul) Jukkola, Palle Henderson, Shelley (Dana) Pearson, Penny (Sandy) Frishholz, Tracy Henderson; and several great grandchildren; daughter in law, Sheila Henderson; sister, June Leslie; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; sister, Lenore Niven; brother, Bob (Marnie) Mogan; brother in law, Bob Leslie; and grandson, Teddy Henderson. Una was born in Walhalla, North Dakota on July 19, 1911. Her family moved to Canada and she spent most of her life in Dinsmore. This is where she met and married Clarence and they raised their children. Una was very active in the Eastern Star. She held various positions including Worthy Grand Matron. Her involvement in Star took her many places across North America. She loved to travel and saw much of the world. Hawaii was her favourite vacation spot. Una and Clarence spent many winters at their condo in Honolulu. Many summers were spent at Turtle Lake with her sister June. At Una's request there will be no funeral. A Private Family Graveside service will be held at a later date in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to the Delisle Volunteer Fire Department, Box 296, Delisle, SK, S0L 0P0.
