Timothy J. Flanagan April 17, 1941 - November 26, 2011 Brooklyn - Timothy J. Flanagan, 70, of 26 Bunny Lane passed away early Saturday morning at his home. He was born April 17, 1941 in Oneco a son of the late Francis D. Flanagan and Cleo (Shippee) Flanagan Mitchell. Mr. Flanagan had resided in Brooklyn for the past 26 years, moving from Sterling. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. Mr. Flanagan was employed for many years in the transportation industry, retiring in 1989. He had volunteered at Day-Kimball Hospital for many years and was a member of VFW Post 5446 Chorus and a 25 year member of the Narragansett Bay Chorus. He was a communicant of St. James Church. Tim will be remembered by his many friends for his beautiful tenor voice. He leaves his sister and brother in law Carol A. and Lex Wiltrout of Brooklyn and a niece Kelsey E. Crawford of Brooklyn. A niece Carol D. Crawford predeceased him. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00AM from Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home 595 Norwich Rd. Plainfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. James Church, Danielson. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Oneco. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8PM.
