COX, THOMAS WELBY III, 36, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2007 at his residence. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a Louisville Metro Police Officer. Tom's memory will be cherished by five sisters, Jacquelyn Alvey (William), Melanie Weisiger (Buzz), Abigail Edds (Eric), Mia Cox and Laurel Cox; a brother Greg Johnson Jr.; his mother, Carole Johnson and step-father, Greg Johnson Sr., of Danville, KY; his father, Thomas W. Cox and stepmother Jane Cox of Prospect , KY; four nephews, Matthew Bibb, of Danville, Miles Bibb, of Carmel, IN, Frederick Hailer of Chicago, IL and Brian Alvey; and a niece, Mary Kate Hailer. His funeral service will be 11a.m. Thursday at Arch L. Heady & Son Westport Road with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-9p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brain Injury Association of Kentucky.
