MARIEN, Thomas Robert. Early Sunday morning on July 23, 2000 at the age of seventy-three. Loving husband and best friend of Peggy (Margaret West) for forty-nine years. Father of Robert (Beverley Kyle), Dawn (Rodney Sellar), Gerald (Joanne Banfill) and Johanne (Robert Thomas). Proud grandfather of Ryan, Meaghan and Martina Marien, Madison Sellar, Breen Marien and Mackenzie Thomas. Brother of Peter and Breen. Son-in-law of Nanny West, and brother-in-law of Doris Dandurand, Bill West and Dorothy West. Cousin of Pauline Quevillon. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, sense of humour and love of books. He had a way of touching the lives of those he met. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Montreal General and Royal Victoria Hospitals with special thanks to the staff of the PCU at the Royal Victoria who showed Tom exceptional compassion and care. Visitation at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass from the Parish of the Annunciation, 75 Roosevelt, T.M.R., on Wednesday, July 26 at 10 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Royal Victoria Hospital (687 Pine West, Montreal, QC H3A 1A1) would be appreciated.
