ObituaryThomas Pickett Taylor, III, 58, died at home on Useppa Island, Florida, April 7, 2002. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. His parents were Sarah Walters Taylor and Philip Igoe Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a graduate of the Taft School, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Louisville Law School. He worked for General Steel Castings until 1990 and then founded his own company, Matrixx Marketing. At his death, he was Chairman of Taylor Drugstores, Inc., of Louisville. He is survived by his fiance, Virginia Amsler and his children, Phillip Igoe Taylor of St. Louis, Anne Louise Taylor of St. Louis, Thomas Pickett Taylor IV of Oviedo, Florida, and Emily Otis Taylor of New York City. His sister Mrs. Sally Duiguid of Ghent, Kentucky, cousin, Mrs. Phyllis Kerwan of Louisville, and five grandchildren also survive him. A memorial service will be held at St Andrew's Episcopal Church in Boca Grande, Florida on Monday, April 15 at 10:30am.
