Thomas E. III Age 54 of Painted Post, N.Y. Died very unexpectedly at home Friday, November 16, 2001. Tom was born on August 11, 1947 to the late Thomas Edward Nolan II and Laura Lovell (Nolan) Unold. He was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy and attended Corning Community College and the University of California at Stockton. He was a veteran of the Vietnam era having enlisted with the Air Force in 1966 and was honorably discharged as Sergeant in 1970. Tom worked in Information Technology at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira and had served as a computer consultant for area nonprofit organizations. An avid NASCAR fan, Tom was a member of the Glen Region SCCA. He was dedicated to music and a supportive fan of many area musicians. Survivors include his loving wife of six years, Sandra Collson Frank-Nolan; two sons: Thomas E. Nolan IV of Tualatin, OR, and Frederick Kenneth Nolan of Stockton, CA; two step-daughters: Laura and Alexa Frank of Rochester: brother, Bruce L. (Connie) Nolan of Elmira: aunt, Virginia West of Elmira, and many cousins. Friends are invited to call at the Smith-Fudge-Marshall Funeral Home Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 7-9 p.m. Co-pastor of the Park Church, Arthur C. Reed, will conduct a funeral service there Friday at 1:00 p.m. followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will provide their own flowers and would appreciate remembrances directed to The ARTS of the Southern Finger Lakes, 52 E. Market Street, Corning; Arnot Ogden Medical Center, or a charity of one's choice.
