MAGUIREThomas Francis, 84, died August 22. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was a 1949 graduate of Colby College and earned his masters in chemical engineering from the University of Maine. He was an Aviation Ordnance man, Second Class, with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He worked for American Cyanamid for 35 years, including two longterm assignments in The Netherlands with their international division. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda (nee Shaw). He was the father of Janice and her husband Joseph Willett of Ridgewood, and their children Ellen, Kathleen, and Kevin; Thomas Jr. and his wife Diana of Darien, CT, and their children Caitlin, Julia, David, Charlotte, and James; and Eileen and her husband Stephen Christopolous of Emmaus, PA, and their children Sean and Colin. All are invited to meet Monday August 27, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, Ridgewood, to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 10:45 AM.
