Thomas K. Casey KINGSTON - Thomas K. Casey, 81, of Old Flatbush Road, died Thursday June 26, 2014 at Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. He was born in Jackson Heights, Long Island June 15, 1933 a son of the late Patrick J. and Margaret Hopkins Casey. An area resident most of his life, Tom grew up in The Vly area of Stone Ridge. He owned and operated Casey & Sons Flooring for over 50 years until his retirement. Tom was a former assistant Scout Master for Troop 14 BSA. He was a member and former Board of Director of the Onteora Runners Club and Co-Founder of the Kingston Kids Classic. Tom was a Classic Car enthusiast and participated in many car shows with his beloved Corvette and beloved ‘39 Plymouth. Tom was also a U.S. Air Force veteran serving 1951 until 1953. He is survived by his wife Ann Reilly Casey, whom he married Jan. 14, 1956 at St. Cecilia’s Church in Stamford, Conn., two sons, Thomas and Jack Casey, both from the Town of Ulster, two daughters, Eileen Pine and husband Edward of Hurley, and Theresa Casey of the Town of Ulster, four grandchildren, Colleen and her husband Justin Molnar of Davenport, Fla., Katie Pine of Hamden, Conn., Joseph Pine of New Paltz, and Caryn Pine of Hurley, and a great-grandson, Parker Molnar. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A brother, Edward Casey died in 2002. His funeral will be held Monday 9:30 a.m. from the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, Rosendale. Rev. Edmund Burke will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday 4 to 7 p.m.
