Thomas (Tom) James McGoughThomas (Tom) James McGough, age 63, of Tallahassee, FL died peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 17, 2012. Born August 3, 1949 in Providence, Rhode Island to Vincent and Mary Hill McGough. Tom was predeceased by his parents and brother, Vincent. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Carol Geary McGough, nephew Emery McGough, niece Melissa Guzy and will be missed by many family members in Tennessee and South Florida. Tom was a longtime resident of Tallahassee and graduated from FSU in 1973, with a Master's in Counseling. He dedicated his professional life to helping others by working as a Child Abuse Investigator, Mental Health Counselor and in the 1980's, founded the Alzheimer's Resource Center of Tallahassee. He most recently worked for Big Bend Hospice as a Grief Counselor.Tom loved the ocean, motorcycles and country living. Memorial Services will be held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lamont, FL on 12/21/2012 at 11:00 a.m.Donations can be made in his name to Big Bend Hospice or the Alzheimer's Project of Tallahassee.
