December 18, 2007 Thomas "Tim" H. Munro III, 76, of Syracuse, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Nottingham High School and Syracuse University. He was a decorated veteran of the Korean War, honored with the Bronze Star. He retired in 2002 as controller of the Salvation Army of Albany. Previously, he was employed at Carrier International Corp. in international relations and by Marine Midland for over 20 years retiring as Vice President of public relations. He served on several community boards including Cazenovia College Board of Trustees, James Square, Community Chest and was active in SU Alumni relations and the Parkrose Community. He was predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hill Munro Jr.; his sister, Ann Dolan; and his wife, Dr. Lois Stiglmeier Munro. He is survived by his loving daughters, Kathleen Englert, Mary (Chris) Anklin both of Fayetteville, Susan (Keefe) Gorman of Skaneateles, Nancy (Ed) Chase of Manlius, and Janet (Tim) Lovell of Plymouth, MA; his 13 adoring grandchildren, Kaitlin, Quinn, Brendan and Colleen Englert, Meaghan and Christopher Anklin, Kealy, Sophie, Makena and Sawyer Gorman, Jack, Scott and Kevin Chase; and a brother; Robert (Laura) Munro of Auburn. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. There will be a private Memorial Service for the family.
