UntitledTHOMAS H. JAMES II 1931-2007Mr. Thomas H. James II, age 76, of Cantonment, died August 2, 2007 in a local hospital. He was born October 4, 1931 in Springfield, OH. He came here in 1997 from Homasassa Springs, FL. He retired as an officer after 25 years of service with the U.S. Army. He was a Veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam Wars, a Presbyterian, a graduate of the University of South Florida, a member of the National Honor Society of PHI KAPPA PHI and BETA GAMMA SEGMA, American Legion Post 400, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 127, VFW Post 6827, the Retired Officers Association, and the Retired Officers Club of St. Petersburg.Survivors include a daughter, Sandra J. Blair; two son,; Thomas H. James III and Steven S. James; sister; Janet J. Reidenbach; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be condcuted Monday, August 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Eastern Gate Memorial Chapel with the Reverend John Stacey officiating. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.EASTERN GATE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangments.The family will receive friends at Eastern Gate Monday, August 6, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
