Hughes,"Beamer" Thomas H., II N. Greece: February 29, 2008 at the age of 52 after a long and courageous fight with muscular dystrophy. Predeceased by his granddad, William F. Bryce, Sr., nana, Iris Bryce, father, Thomas Richmond Hughes and uncle, William F. Bryce. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; mother, Patricia (Al) Johnson; sister, Wendy (Paul) Tuttobene, sisters-in-law, Nicole (Paul) Schneller, Deborah Vangellow; beloved nephew and niece, Nicholas and Alyssa Schneller; cousin, Peter (Susan) Dawes; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; The Smith Family, The Bay of Piglets; many, many wonderful and loving friends. All who had the privilege of knowing Beamer know that he loved life and was the quintessential friend to all, and he will always be remembered for his dedication, generosity, integrity, and kindness. Beamer has been an RG&E employee since 1978. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sportsman, but most of all loved his family and his devoted and wonderful friends who cared for him throughout his life and his illness. Beamer will always be fondly remembered as someone who gave of himself to help those affected with muscular dystrophy through the Beamer Hughes Foundation, which was established by his closest friends as a tribute to his caring and generous spirit. In honor of Beamer, we will continue his work through the Foundation. A celebration of Beamer's life will be held, Monday 11 AM at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 3000 Dewey Ave. Interment at the convenience of the family.
