GOLIGHTLY, Thomas Jay III, 59, died December 8, 2005, at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital. He was a longtime resident of Tampa and a native of Oak Ridge, Tenn. He spent 11 years in the U.S. Coast Guard as an E-5 chief petty officer. He was a tugboat captain for many years, after retiring from the Coast Guard in 1975. He was of the Christian faith. Preceded in death by this father, Thomas Jay Golightly II. Thomas is survived by his mother, Ruby Garner of Tennessee; brother, William Golightly of New York; sister, Catherine Berkhan; daughters, Melissa Sanchez and Adrian Golightly; grandson, Albert Sanchez; nephew, Brian Roberts; nieces, Ashley and Tiffany Berkhan; and great- niece, Kayla-Leigh Roberts, all of Tampa. Visitation will take place 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2005, with a funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. at Marsicano-B. Marion Reed-Stowers Funeral Home, 4040 Henderson Blvd., Tampa.
