Thomas F. Geary, II of Arlington and White Horse Beach, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Maryellen (McHugh); loving Father of Tom and his wife Catherine, of Milford, Jane Brooks and her husband Craig, of Billerica, Tim and his wife Terie, of Arlington, Maryellen Bortolussi and her husband Lorenzo, of Ontario; dear grandfather of Michael, Christopher and Kate Geary, Dean and Colin Brooks, Cameron Geary, Marino and Ben Bortolussi, also survived by his dear cousin Paul " Barney" Geary of Arlington. Funeral services were held at the DeVito Funeral Home, 1145 Mass. Ave., Arlington, Friday, March 5, at 11 a.m., with a Funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m., in St. Agnes Church. Interment to follow: Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Born in Medford, he was a longtime Arlington resident and enjoyed a long-standing career as an Engineer with the firm of Hayden Harding and Buchanan. Tom served his community as a well-respected coach in the Arlington/Menotomy Hockey Club and Arlington Babe Ruth Baseball for over 20 years. He was a wonderful role model for so many kids in Arlington, many of whom continue to model their coaching style around what they learned from him.
