SARATOGA SPRINGS Thomas F. Doyle III, 59, of Saratoga Springs passed away peacefully Sunday, May 2, 2004 at Albany Medical Center with his family by his side. Born on August 24, 1944 in Tempe, Ariz., Tom received his bachelor degree in architectural engineering from Arizona State University. He then went on to construction administration, where he was last employed at Einhorn Yaffee Prescott Architecture and Engineering. He loved his career and prided himself in what he built. Tom was president of the Lake Lonely Home Owners Association for the past six years. He volunteered his time at Stratton Ski Resort in Vermont as a dedicated ski patroller helping skiers for the past 15 years. He also enjoyed many active sports including competitive volleyball leagues and local golf leagues. Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years Susan M. Doyle; his parents Thomas F. Doyle II and Mary Doyle of Lompoc, Calif.; his children, Cassandra Gronlund of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Robert Dock of Duluth, Minn., Christy Smith of Lake Placid, N.Y., and Jeffrey Dock of Glens Falls, N.Y. He is also survived by his brother, William (Bill) Doyle of Imperial Beach, Calif.; his sisters, Susan Doyle of Danville, Calif., Diane Parker of Nevato, Calif., Megan Doyle of Santa Maria, Calif., Mary Kay Kidd of Avala Beach, Calif. Papa Tom was also a dedicated grandfather, whose three grandchildren were his true pride and joy. His three grandchildren are Sara Gronlund, Haley Gronlund and Barrett Smith. Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Tunison Funeral Home, located 105 Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 on Wednesday May 5, 2004. Services will follow at 8:00 p.m.
