Bennett, Thomas F. III NORTH GREENBUSH Thomas F. Bennett III, age 53, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous, three-year battle with cancer. Tom was born in Albany, N.Y. and lived all his life in the Albany area. Tom was a 1977 graduate of Siena College where he received a bachelor of science in finance. He was an account executive at The Moore Insurance Agency, a devoted member of St. Michael's Church in North Greenbush, N.Y. and an avid Yankees and Giants fan. Tom was an exceptional man of great faith and character who will be missed by all. His bravery was an inspiration not only to his family, but to all he met. He will be remembered as an unequivocally loving husband, father and brother. Born in Albany on September 22, 1955, Tom was the son of the late John L. and Helen M. Bennett. Tom leaves behind his wife, Therese A. Bennett of North Greenbush; sister, Abby Bennett Orton of North Truro, Mass.; daughters, Catie S. Bennett of Boston, Mass. and Meagan S. Bennett of New York, N.Y.; son, Robert M. Bennett of North Greenbush; dog, Kayla Bennett of North Greenbush; father and mother-in-law, Guy and Dorothea Alonge of Troy; brother-in-law of Dorothea and Vlado Sergovich, Carrie and Todd Pettengill, Guy and JoAnne Alonge; nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Wednesday morning at a time to be announced at St. Michael's Church, 175 Williams Road where a Mass of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours are Tuesday evening 4-7 p.m. at St. Michael's Church. Interment will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
