In memory of Thomas Estrada, Sr., distinguished gentleman passed October 30, 2001 in Summit Park Hospital New York. Survived by daughters, Gloria Gonzalez of Pomona, NY and Elizabeth Estrada of the Bronx, NY. Sons, Thomas Estrada, Jr. of California, William Estrada of Pennsylvania and Noel Estrada of Sparkill, NY. Grandfather of thirteen, great-grandfather of two. A WWII veteran of the U.S. Army, Thomas served in the Panama Canal with high priority. In a patriotic manner, he was employed by the U.S. Postal Office for 20 years with great pride. An intellectual with a degree in the arts, graduated from Manhattan College going on to tutor students at Rockland Community College in the subject of his native language, Spanish. Quick for a smile, wise in his ways, loved by family and friends, dear to our hearts, always remembered. Friends may call Thursday and Friday 2-4, 7-9 pm at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home Garnerville. Thomas's funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home, Rev. William Alvarez officiating. Burial will take place in F.W. Loescher Veterans Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
