DAVIS, Thomas Daniel Age 80 of Elmira, NY. He was born April 19, 1929 in Richmond Hill, GA, son of the late Dan Daniel and Versiele (Hughes) Davis and was called home to his heavenly Father on Sunday, August 23, 2009. He was predeceased by his first wife Rachel L. Davis, his beloved daughter Debra Jones, beloved son Rudolph Davis, devoted companion Mae Alice Myles and step daughter Carolyn Myles. Thomas is survived by his sisters Pauline Brown of Elmira and Cleo Patrick Moore of Philadelphia, PA; children Thomas Davis, Jr. of Savannah, GA, Gladystean Davis, Melvin L. Davis, Kelvin L. Davis, Willard C. Davis and Carl L. Davis all of Springfield, MA, Gwen Wysch of Elmira and Paula and Gregory Grant of Brunswick, GA; step children Katherine McMillan of Hazelhurst, GA, Robert L. and Mary A. (White) Myles, Cora L. Myles, Donald L. Myles, Lamar and Sharon (Myles) Bell all of Elmira, Curtis L. Myles of Homerville, GA and Maelene Hayes and DeWayne Edwards of Charlotte, NC. He leaves 49 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and a large host of nieces, nephews and special friends. Family and friends are invited to visit St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church, 402 Sullivan St., Elmira on Monday, August 31st from 10 to 11 am. His funeral service will begin at 11 am. Rev. Johnny Vaughn will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
