LEAVINES, Thomas D. II, 89, of Tampa, passed away July 4, 2006. He was bornOctober 13, 1916, in Mobile, Ala., and moved to Florida in 1953. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force working as a parachute rigger and repairman and also as an airplane inspector until his retirement in 1966. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was predeceased by his son, Gary. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Aline; sons, Charles (Susie), Tommy, James (Debbie), Robert (Darlene), John (Annie) and Paul, all from the Tampa area; daughters, Shirley (Mario) Arroyo of Shady Hills and Sharon Leavines of Tampa; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones. Services will take place at 10 a.m. July 7, 2006, at Florida Mortuary, 4601 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa. A military honors burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla., (813) 237-2900.
